Imogen Faith Reid - Actor of the Month for November 2025

Published on November 14, 2025

Actor: Imogen Faith Reid | Interviewed by: Steven Tylor O'Connor, CSA

1) Has there been a Casting Director who has really championed or supported you in your career journey?

All the casting directors of Good American Family Steven Tylor O'Connor, CSA, Amber Horn, CSA and Danielle Aufiero, CSA have been my biggest cheerleaders throughout the whole process during the auditioning stage with really taking their time to workshop the material with me, during the filming process and even till now. I couldn't have felt more supported.

2) What is the project youre most proud of, and why?

I think I would have to say Good American Family as it was my first-ever speaking role and such a complex role with also being a lead in an incredible show with the best cast, such as Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass, Sarayu Blue, Christina Hendricks and Dule Hill. Last year I was very new to this perspective of acting and being a part of first team on a set as I have been so used to being a body double, however, I felt so guided especially by Ellen and Mark with all the advice they gave throughout my time on set. I feel truly grateful for the experience I had.

3) What or who inspired you to pursue acting as a career?

I would say ever since I was young I loved performing for everyone and anyone especially when it came to singing. However, the passion for it didn't come alive until I started taking drama classes in school when I was 15, and I realized this escapism I felt when embodying different characters, and so I knew that this was a career path I wanted to delve into.

4) What was your first IMDbPro credit and how did you feel when you saw it?

I remember seeing my first credit which was for The Third Day. I body doubled the son of the main character who was played by Jude Law. I remember it feeling surreal when I saw that I was credited for it as it was my first-ever credit and felt so proud of the achievements I was making in my career and couldn't wait to see where it took me.

5) How has IMDbPro helped you either to market yourself or connect with other industry professionals?

Having IMDbPro has helped massively with being able to get my name out there and for people to see the actress behind Natalia. A really proud moment I had was being informed that I was the 8th person most searched on IMDb which was so surreal and I don't think I really wrapped my head over it.

6) Any funny or memorable casting room stories you can share?

I remember when having my Zoom calls with the casting directors for Good American Family, I think this was my first Zoom call with them, and also my first recall from doing the self-tape, so I was super nervous but trying to style it out. I remember one of them asking me where I was and I thought they meant where I was in the house so I said my living room but really they meant my location as I'm a British actress and am based in London, so after I said my living room there was an awkward silence until someone replied "aren’t you in London" and I replied straight away. I felt awkward at the time, but looking back, it was funny.

7) If you could play any character in any movie, past or present, who would it be and why?

Growing up I was always called Thumbelina because of my dwarfism and so because of it I would watch it all the time and I also love to sing. I've always loved movie musicals such as Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd so I think if Disney ever decided to make a live action Thumbelina I would love to play her as it would just feel so right!

8) What show or movie that youre currently watching or have watched countless times could you nerd out about forever? What do you love about it?

I have been watching some spooky shows and I've actually been watching Wednesday for the first time and I really love it! I've just begun season 2 and I've loved seeing the character progressions especially the friendship dynamic between Wednesday and Enid and the different aesthetics they have, it definitely reminds me of the aesthetic between me and my best friend as its quite similar, but I also love seeing Wednesday gain a softer side to her, I can’t wait to watch more episodes.

9) Tell us a fun fact about you outside of acting.

A fun fact about me outside of acting is I have a really sassy dog called Luna. She's a border collie mixed with a kelpie and she's fun and very stubborn and we definitely clash because I'm stubborn too! But she’s the best thing I've ever had and I'm so happy we have her.
