
CASTING SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR ‘24-’25 AND DATE AND VENUES FOR 40th ANNUAL ARTIOS AWARD
40th Annual Artios Awards Scheduled For Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills and Edison Ballroom in NYC
CSA European Chapter Renamed ‘Global Chapter’ As Newly Formed Board of Governors Announced
Los Angeles, CA – August 20, 2024—Casting Society (CSA) today announced its newly elected Board of Directors for 2024-2025 and the date and locations for the 40th Annual Artios Awards, to be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA and the Edison Ballroom in NYC. The London venue is yet to be announced. The annual awards celebration honors the contributions of casting professionals in film, television (scripted and unscripted), commercials and theater.
The current Board of Directors, who will continue for the second year of their two-year terms through June 2025, includes Destiny Lilly as President, Steven Tylor O’Connor as Treasurer, Becca McCracken as Secretary and Elizabeth Berra as Vice President of Governance.
Destiny Lilly said, “I am privileged to continue my role as President of CSA, especially as we prepare to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Artios Awards, a wonderful milestone in our ongoing mission to support and spotlight the contributions of casting professionals globally. Our shift to the February ceremony date allows us to position the nominees and winners as influential precursors to the Academy Awards, where Casting will debut as an award in 2026.”

Destiny Lilly, CSA, is an Emmy-nominated casting director based in New York. Recent projects include “The Color Purple” (Warner Bros.), “Only Murders in the Building” (Hulu) and “A Strange Loop” and “Purlie Victorious” on Broadway. She works at The Telsey Office where she also casts plays and musicals for New York Stage & Film, MCC Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, Second Stage Theater, and the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Destiny is an advocate for actors and artists. She currently serves as CSA’s President.
Steven Tylor O’Connor, CSA, is a two-time Emmy-winning casting director at Aufiero/Horn Casting, winning Emmy Awards in 2023 for “Best Foot Forward” (Apple TV+) and in 2021 for “The Healing Powers of Dude” (Netflix). Steven was honored by Casting Society (CSA) with the Associate Spotlight Award in 2019 and won an Artios Award in 2024 for his indie film “Summoning Sylvia'' and in 2020 for Disney’s “Andi Mack.” In addition, he has been recognized with three additional Artios nominations. He currently serves as CSA’s Treasurer.
Becca McCracken, CSA, has almost twenty years of experience casting in Chicago and the midwest area, making her an expert in her market for her work on countless tv/film, commercial and theater projects. Becca is proud to be the casting director at the 2022 regional Tony Award- winning Court Theatre and stays busy working with other clients, including HBO where she just completed casting the third season of the drama series “Somebody Somewhere” as well as the Lyric Opera of Chicago where she won an Artios Award in 2024 for casting the production of “Fiddler on the Roof.” Becca serves as the Secretary for the executive board of the Casting Society and is committed to creating a casting space that empowers the artist with a strong focus on inclusivity and the human experience.
Elizabeth Berra, CSA, is a New York-based casting professional working primarily in television and film. Recent credits and collaborations with casting director Alexa L. Fogel includes Chiwetel Ejiofor’s upcoming independent feature “Rob Peace,” Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut “Creed III,” David Simon’s “We Own This City,” “The Deuce,” Shaka King’s Oscar and BAFTA nominated “Judas and the Black Messiah” and Ryan Murphy’s Emmy nominated “Pose,” among others. Elizabeth has served on Casting Society’s Board of Directors since 2018 and is a graduate of Tulane University. She resides in New York City. She currently serves as CSA’s VP of Governance.
Cassandra Han, CSA, is an American casting director living and working in Europe for more than 20 years. Multi-lingual, she specializes in bridging the German, Italian, UK and US markets. Italian casting credits include “Ford vs Ferrari” (20th Century Fox), Terrence Malick’s “A Hidden Life” and the hit Netflix series “Barbarians” while German-language credits include the upcoming Netflix feature “She Said Yes” and an as-yet-untitled series for Lionsgate/Yes. She currently serves as President of CSA’s Global Chapter.
