Kennedy Garcia - Actor of the Month for April 2026

1. Has there been a Casting Director who has really championed or supported you in your career journey? 

Definitely Marnie Saitta! She believed in me from the beginning and cast me on Days of Our Lives. 

2. What is the project you’re most proud of, and why?

I am most proud of being Felicity on Days. I have been on the show for over two years now and have loved every minute. They are showing that people with disabilities can be included and accepted everywhere. I am proud to be the first person with Down syndrome who has a recurring role on daytime television. 

3. What or who inspired you to pursue acting as a career? 

My first big project was American Girl. I loved being on set and knew I wanted to do it over and over. Thankfully I’ve been able to!

4. What was your first IMDbPro credit and how did you feel when you saw it? 

My first IMDb credit was for Pure Country 2: The Gift when I was five. I got to film with my friends and we had so much fun. I honestly didn’t know what IMDb was at the time, but now I love seeing it there with all my other credits. I hope to keep growing! 

5. How has IMDbPro helped you either to market yourself or connect with other industry professionals? 

IMDb is a great way to show what I have done and can do. I love to be able to share my projects with the world and this is a fun way to do it.

6. Any funny or memorable casting room stories you can share? 

I haven’t been to an in-person audition in a long time, but when I was little I loved doing them and seeing my friends at every audition. Even though we were often all going for the same role, we had a great time and cheered each other on.

7. If you could play any character in any movie, past or present, who would it be and why? 

I’d love to play someone a little intense or scary. I think I’d be good at it and I’ve never had a role like that. I guess if I had to choose, I’d love to be in a Harry Potter movie. 

8. What show or movie that you’re currently watching or have watched countless times could you nerd out about forever? What do you love about it? 

I know everything about Friends. I’ve watched it over and over and can throw out a funny line from the show any time! I even got to talk to Maggie Wheeler who plays Janice and do my “Oh. My. God.” impression for her. She approved! I also love Stranger Things! Ask me anything about it and I’ll know!

9. Tell us a fun fact about you outside of acting. 

I love coffee. I can’t start my day without it. My go-to drink is an iced coffee with oat milk and a little sugar.
