Tess began casting Mira Nair’s ‘Namesake’ and has worked with the likes of Joe & Anthony Russo, Wes Anderson, Garth Davis, Ramin Bahrani, Sam Hargrave, Ang Lee, Lucy Liu, Sooni Taraporevala, Neil Burger and Doug Liman. In 2020 she was selected to join The Academy's Casting DIrectors Branch - an honour bestowed on few every year. Her keen eye for young talent has brought us actors like Sunny Pawar (LION) and the BAFTA nominated Adarsh Gourav (WHITE TIGER). Most recently, Tess and her team were instrumental in casting Kubbra Sait in Foundation and Priyanka Bose in Wheel Of Time. Tess along with Priyanka Chopra & Freida Pinto produced “Girl Rising” for India, a film uses storytelling to educate and empower girls everywhere. Beyond movies, Tess has directed Kommune's first series for Amazon Prime Video called "The Storytellers - In The Living Room” and is the Director of Curation for SPOKEN FEST 2017- 2022 - Asia’s Largest Spoken Word & Storytelling Festival. And beyond work she remains an explorer of the world, a slow marathon runner, a hopeful pianist and a crusader for animals.
