Spirit Awards

The Spirit Awards, produced by Film Independent, is a celebration of the independent filmmakers who bring a unique vision and a spirit of independence to filmmaking.

Film Independent helps filmmakers make their movies, builds the audience for their projects, and works to diversify the film industry.
Film Independent established The Robert Altman Award in 2008, in honor of the great ensemble director Robert Altman and his legacy of truly artistic collaboration.
