The Casting Society of America Announces its 2017 Artios Awards Nominees for Television, Theatre, Short Form/Web Series and Short Film

The 32nd annual awards will host both a Los Angeles and New York City ceremony on Thursday, January 19

Comedian Joel McHale as Master of Ceremonies

Los Angeles, CA September XX, 2016 – The Casting Society of America (CSA) prepares to honor the industry’s leading casting professionals and partners at its 32nd Annual Artios Awards with the announcement of its 2017 nominees for Outstanding Achievement in Casting in the television, theatre, short form/web series and short film categories.

Actor/comedian Joel McHale will host the Los Angeles ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and a soon-to-be announced emcee will host the New York ceremony at Stage 48 in Hell’s Kitchen.  Both will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2017.

“Perfect casting can make all the difference,” said Richard Hicks, CSA President. “Finding exactly the right actor or actress to bring the story to its fullest life is what CSA members do every day. The history of film, television and theatre is told in such moments, when it all comes together to create something special. The Artios Awards are our opportunity to recognize outstanding achievement in all of these areas. Congratulations nominees!”

All nominees were submitted by CSA members and met eligibility requirements for projects that were aired, released or performed from June 1, 2015 – May 31, 2016. The CSA has added the television unscripted series category to this year’s list of honors. Nominees for feature film and foreign language film, another Artios addition, will be announced early next year.
