CSA General Membership Meeting 2015
Our annual CSA General Membership meeting (party!) was held on June 1st at the famed "Bar Marmont" in Hollywood and what a fun, swanky event it was! The turnout was one of the largest we've seen in years and a great time was had by all.
CSA members were treated to cocktails and hors d'oeurves while networking, catching up with friends, meeting the many regional members who took the time to fly in for the occasion and getting an update from our various committee heads currently serving on the National Board of Directors.
CSA is up to big things. Topics included the President's Report, Finance Report, Activities update, AMPAS, Artios updates, Associates, Festivals and Panels, Membership, New Media, Publicity, Regional Casting Directors and our evolving Training and Education program.
We also announced at the meeting our second CSA Emeritus Member, Mary V. Buck. We hope to see Mary at our 2016 Artios Awards!
Lastly we had the opportunity to give a HUGE thank you and say a warm goodbye to outgoing CSA Administrator Megan McConnell who is leaving us after four incredibly productive and transformative years of service. She will be very much missed.

SCOUT Chicago Comedy Festival was a big success! This was our second year but our first year adding the free panels and the response has been overwhelmingly positive! We did a Casting Director Panel on demystifying the television casting process with Seth Yanklewitz, Matt Skrobalak, Brad DeLima, Collin Daniels, Jennifer Rudnicke, Mickie Paskal and myself as the host. The packed audience was made up of students from DePaul, Columbia, Northwestern, Second City and iO. The panelists were candid and truthful and many students have given the feedback that they learned so much. Thank you to the panelists!! We will definitely make this an anchor part of the festival every year!!!!

CSA held their annual General Membership Meeting for members on April 30th at Sur Lounge in West Hollywood, CA. Old friends reconnected in the lively atmosphere, and we all got to meet members visiting from regions all over the globe, including one member from Turkey who joined CSA just the week before! For the first time it was recorded, and all members were emailed an online link so they could view the meeting, which included reports from all the various committees. Here are some photos.
