Casting Society To Help Wish-Granting Charity
Secure Speaking Roles For ‘Wish’ Children

The Casting Society of America (CSA) has announced its partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help grant the wishes of children around the world who aspire to have speaking roles in films. CSA is dedicated to using its influence in the entertainment industry to help make the dreams of these “wish kids” a reality.

“The Casting Society of America supports the efforts of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is actively seeking opportunities for children to fulfill their dreams of appearing in features and television series,” said Gary Zuckerbrod, President of CSA. “We encourage directors, producers and studio executives to join us in making wishes come true.”
Make-A-Wish® executives expressed gratitude for this unique area of expertise that will help make wishes come true for courageous kids who dream big.

“We applaud The Casting Society of America for its wonderful commitment to our special mission,” said Paula Van Ness, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. “The specialized skills of CSA members in the entertainment industry will make an invaluable contribution in helping us to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions who dream of seeing their names in lights.”

The Casting Society of America, the premier organization of theatrical casting directors in film, television, and theatre, was founded in Los Angeles in February, 1982, with the intent of establishing a recognized standard of professionalism in the casting field, and to provide its members with a support organization to further their goals and protect their common interests.
