About Sharon Bialy

  1. Sharon Bialy is an award winning Casting Director for Television, Film and Theater, with more than 20 years experience in the field. As Casting Director for the award winning AMC series The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, Ms. Bialy has proven her eye for talent from stage to film to television. She recently completed casting Stretch for director Joe Carnahan, and Black & White with Octavia Spencer and Kevin Costner. Past studio and independent films include Drugstore Cowboy, Point Break, Rudy, Mr. Holland’s Opus, Reign O’er Me, & Red Belt for David Mamet. Her numerous television credits include Phil Spector (HBO), Under The Dome, The Unit, Jericho, Lie To Me, Crash, Mind of the Married Man, The Pretender, and Picket Fences. Ms. Bialy’s love for theatre has been a recurring theme throughout her career, including 15 years with Des McAnuff at the La Jolla Playhouse, and various productions at Lincoln Center, The Old Globe, South Coast Rep, and The Guthrie. On Broadway, Ms. Bialy cast “The Anarchist,” “Jersey Boys,” “Race,” and Aaron Sorkin’s “The Farnsworth Invention.” She is a current board member of the Casting Society of America, and with 11 Artios Awards nomination to her name, she was the recipient of the 2011 CSA Award from The Media Access Awards.
