About Rich Mento
- Rich counts himself very fortunate to have successfully worked in casting over the past 19 years, on theatre, TV, and film, in both NYC and LA. Following stints at Livent, CBS, and Sony Pictures Television, his successful collaboration with Joanna Colbert began in 2003 and continued for the next 8 years. Selected film credits include: The Step Up Franchise, The Wackness, Dear John, Cedar Rapids, Youth in Revolt, Remember Me, No Strings Attached, Warm Bodies and Safe Haven. His work will be represented in theaters in 2014 by Tracers and Step Up: All In (the 5th film in the series). He’s cast music videos for Austin Brown and Tom DeSanto, new media projects for Electronic Arts and Bad Robot, as well as contributing to MASSIVE ATTACK v. ADAM CURTIS for The Park Avenue Armory in NYC. In 2012 Rich launched his own casting and production company, Oneiric Asylum. He currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the Casting Society of America.
