LYNN BABER was the Theatre Arts Director of the National High School Institute (the Cherub program) at Northwestern University from 1998 to 2016. She was the Co-Founder/Artistic Director of the Econo-Art Theatre Company (1983-90), where she produced and appeared in an array of world-premieres, including works by Joel Drake Johnson and Peter Hedges. She has been casting for theatre in Chicago since 2003. Lynn is a graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Acting, and was the first recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. She has cast shows in collaboration with directors Jon Jory, Peter Amster, Cody Estle, Marti Lyons, Hallie Gordon, Mark Lococo, Kimberly Senior, Steve Scott, Stephen Schwartz, William Brown and Amy Morton. She is currently a consultant, counselor and coach for young people who are seeking admission to college acting and musical theatre programs. Her 34 years at Cherubs and 16 years in Casting have given her the presumption to say that she is #uniquelyqualified in this pursuit. And she continues to work in casting, of course.
