After a short training period as an AD and casting assistant, I started my own freelance career and founded Studio t in 1985. Over the long course of this experience, I have witnessed the evolution of the casting profession, both in Italy and internationally, and I have developed a real passion for mastering all the different aspects of this fascinating job: from involving A-list actors in a project to discovering and nurturing the new generation of talent, from street casting to casting for major international co-productions, from supporting young directors casting for their first movie to casting for major advertising campaigns. This passion, and the desire to consolidate the CD profession, pushed me to write a book entitled “The Casting Director’s Craft,” which will be coming out this fall. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with directors such as Martin Scorsese, Manuel de Oliveira, Lasse Hallstrom, Ridley Scott, Ben Stiller, David Garth, Ildiko Enyedi, Oliver Hirschbiegel and Liliana Cavani. I am a member of UICD, CSA and ICDN’s Board of Directors, as well as the Italian Film Academy and the European Film Academy. I’ll be happy to speak with you in English, German, French, Spanish and, of course, in Italian. Our Studio is equipped with all the amenities that will assure you a perfect casting.
