Training and Education

Casting Society of America is officially launching their highly anticipated, newly minted Training and Education Program!

 

Recognizing the lack of college level courses in the field of casting, as well as the decreased opportunity for internships, the training program was created for those interested in pursuing a career in casting in an effort to train the next generation of diverse casting professionals.

 

With the beta test of the new program being met with a resoundingly positive response, we are officially launching the first three courses November 10th, 17th and 18th in Los Angeles. A maximum of 18 students will be accepted into the program.  We are seeking candidates who are hard working with a positive attitude and a passion for a career in casting.

Casting Society of America

History of Casting

Casting Team

Creative Team

Studio & Network

Agents & Managers

 

Industry Insider Part 2 - "Who's Who" Part 2

The Production Team

Departments & Positions

Roles & Responsibilities

Relationship to Casting

 

Industry Insider Part 3 - "Office Skills and Etiquette"

Administrative Duties

Scheduling & Appointments

Documentation & Paperwork

Business Etiquette

 

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion upon fulfillment of the three courses. 

 

Program Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and at minimum possess a high school diploma or have passed a high school equivalency test.

Interest in pursuing a career in casting is a MUST.

Attendance at all 3 classes is mandatory to receive your certificate

Must be available for all three 8-hour days (November 10, November 17, November 18).  These classes will take place in the Los Angeles area.  

Helpful to have basic office and proficient computer skills.

 

Application Requirements:

1.) Cover Letter

2.) (1 page) or Video Submission (1 min) – Please explain your interest in the program and why you would be a good candidate for the program.

3.) Business Resume

4.) Please submit any additional information that would help us get to know you better (i.e. social media handles).

 

Registration deadline: October 17th

Students will be notified by October 23rd if they have been accepted.

 

Tuition price for the first three courses:

$500.00 Total*

 

*We offer a payment plan if needed of 50% at time of acceptance and 50% due the week before the first course.
