SUBMISSION FOR THE FALL 2018 COURSES IS NOW CLOSED. 

We are hoping to offer the courses again in Summer and Fall 2019, with a potential for a Spring run as well.  We are also hoping to offer to other cities, starting with New York, in the next year or so.

If you are interested in learning about future courses, please email TrainingAndEducation@CastingSociety.com and put TRAINING & EDUCATION INTERESTED STUDENT LIST in the subject line.  Please also notate where you are based and what city/cities you would be interested in taking the courses in.

Casting Society of America has officially launched their highly anticipated, newly minted Training and Education Program!

 

Recognizing the lack of college level courses in the field of casting, the training and education program was created for those interested in pursuing a career in casting in an effort to train the next generation of diverse casting professionals.

 

With the beta test of the new program being met with a resoundingly positive response, the program was officially launched with the first three courses being taught November 10/17 and 18, 2018 in Los Angeles. 18 students were accepted into the program.

History of Casting

Casting Team

Creative Team

Studio & Network

Agents & Managers

 

Industry Insider Part 2 - "Who's Who" Part 2

The Production Team

Departments & Positions

Roles & Responsibilities

Relationship to Casting

 

Industry Insider Part 3 - "Office Skills and Etiquette"

Administrative Duties

Scheduling & Appointments

Documentation & Paperwork

Business Etiquette

 

Students received a Certificate of Completion upon fulfillment of the three courses. 

 

Program Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and at minimum possess a high school diploma or have passed a high school equivalency test.

Interest in pursuing a career in casting is a MUST.

Attendance at all 3 courses is mandatory to receive your certificate

Must be available for all three 8-hour days.  These classes will take place in the Los Angeles area.  

Helpful to have basic office and proficient computer skills.
