The CBS Native American Talent Showcase

CBS, in association with SAG, AFTRA and the American Indians in Film and Television, will sponsor a talent showcase for Native Americans. To audition for this showcase, please send your headshot and resume by Thursday, May 6 to:

Women in Hollywood III Panel Discussion

SAG will begin a series of panel discussions and networking events in a partnership with the TotalAxis.com, a networking alliance for over 160,000 artists, studio executives and industry professionals. The first event in the series is on May 5 at White Lotus (1743 N. Cahuenga Blvd.). It is entitled Women in Hollywood III and will be moderated by Noela Hueso is an associate editor in the Features department of The Hollywood Reporter and include panelist such as Anne-Marie Johnson, National Co-Chair of SAG’s EEO Committee, Dawn Hudson, Executive Director of IFP/Los Angeles since 1991, Alicia Rivera Frankl is CEO/Partner of "Hoboken West Digital Media" and Production & Financial Consultant to the Esparza Katz Production, producers of "Selena", "Gettysburg", 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros, Universal Studio, Jeff Valdez Productions, producers of Bros. Garcia, and Eva Longoria is on the fast track to stardom. She recently starred on ABC’s “L.A. Dragnet,” Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf’s modern-day take on the classic police drama. She also brings to life the title role in the upcoming motion picture, CARLITA’S SECRET. Voted one of People en Espanol’s“25 Most Beautiful People” for 2003 and winning an ALMA Award for “Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the panel discussion begins at 7:30 p.m. The event is free for SAG members only and is subject to space availability (first come/first serve). A Celebration of Diversity

The EEO Committees of Actor’s Equity Association, SAG, and AFTRA are sponsoring A Celebration of Diversity, an evening in which those who have worked tirelessly to further the cause of diversity in the performing arts will be honored. The honorees include SAG members Ricardo Montalban and Marla Gibbs as well as the Executive Director of the SAG Foundation, Marcia Smith. The celebration will begin at 7 p.m. on May 10 at the Colony Theatre, located at 555 North Third Street, Burbank, 91502. To RSVP for this event, please call 323-988-2080.
