SAG & CBS SPONSOR HISPANIC SHOWCASE, OCTOBER 8, 2003

Continuing their efforts in encouraging diverse casting, Screen Actors Guild Affirmative Action/Diversity Department is pleased to partner with CBS, AFTRA and Nosotros, a leading Latino theater group, on an acting showcase for Latino/Hispanic performers on Wednesday, October 8 at the Court Theater in Los Angeles.

CBS Entertainment development executives and casting directors from the Network's primetime and daytime programs will be on hand -- and an invitation has been extended to casting directors from production companies that work with CBS.

This is the sixth in an ongoing series of showcases for minority actors sponsored by CBS and the performers' unions. The first Latino/Hispanic showcase was held on June 3, 2002 at the Court Theatre. More than 1,200 actors submitted their picture, more than 900 came in to audition, and 20 were selected for the showcase.

Members of SAG, AFTRA and Nosotros, can submit headshots from August 18 through 29 to AFTRA, 5757 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. 90036.
