In keeping with it's efforts to provide access for it's members who have been under-represented in the industry, Screen Actors Guild’s Affirmative Action/Diversity Department is pleased to team with ABC Entertainment Television Group's Casting Project in a series of showcases featuring promising actors, the next to be held in Los Angeles in December, 2003.
Based on submissions, ABC will then select those who will audition for the showcase. ABC will then select a small group for the showcase based on performances. Actors selected will audition selected scenes to an audience of ABC network executives, casting directors, agents and industry professionals from the other major networks. Details will be provided to all participants selected.
Screen Actors Guild has a long history of promoting equal access to employment for all its members, regardless of their gender, race/ethnicity, age or physical ability. This showcase was developed to create opportunities for new and diverse talent.
